Let's Have Somme Fun

I went for a weekend in the country, I do that sort of thing you know, because I am so very middle class. I got to hang out with my Aged Parent on her birthday and re-kindle an old friendship with my estranged canine chum Scrumpy.

And they say cats are bad...
Now she may look cute but this animal is a one bitch death wave. Stumbling through muddy countryside and hundreds of fallen trees despatching one partially killed animal after another really takes the edge off a nice sunday walk. But fair play to a Jack Russell for managing to catch an adult male pheasant, even if she wasn't up to finishing the job.
We couldn't even take the remains home to eat, in case we got spotted by the pheasant's former owner. Although I maintain we should have hung on to that rabbit. It was in short bloody, muddy and cold.
Malvern Last Weekend
And when we got home the roasted veg was all burnt.
On the plus side lady smahman really enjoyed breaking in her new welly boots. Jumping in puddles and mud all round.

Well I'm not happy that several small animals have been given slow painful deaths, no thanks to your seeming lack of control of your own.

What's more you have clearly written this with more than a glint in your eye. Smahman you are blood thirsty and I wish the farmer had caught you... and your little dog too.

Oh yeah, I don't want:

"Normal service will be resumed shortly."

If this is what we can expect from you.

Oh yeah and another thing, if you sat opposite Smahman, as I do. You'd know there's a lot more blood lust to this story than the blog itself makes out.

It wasn't blood lust, it was all a bit unfortunate.

Leave it to a Jack Russel. A lot of dog in a small package.

I am very happy that the sevice is back online.

Weazle-Dog is part lurcher/greyhound and is very adept at chasing rabbits and squirells. I usually have to distract him to stop him from catching them. Living in an area that has plenty of forest results in plenty of squirell chasing.

Let the dogs be dogs, put clear up the mess regardless of whether that mess is poo or a squirell carcas.

There's nothing proud in an agile jack russell catching an unwieldy and burdensome male phessie. Those fuckers need more take off space than the new A380.

I, on the other hand, would be able to outwit your jack russell with ease, and probably even peck the stumpy little fuck on the head as well.
